Ticketing Policies

As a non-profit performing arts organization, LexPhil’s primary mission is to serve our community by providing exceptional musical experiences. In order to uphold that commitment, we rely on ticket sales to support our events and learning programs. We understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly, and while we empathize with these situations, LexPhil’s policy is to not offer refunds on concert tickets or subscriptions. We kindly ask for your understanding as we operate within the financial limitations inherent to our mission-driven organization.

The LexPhil Box Office and lexphil.org are the only authorized sellers of Lexington Philharmonic tickets.

If you are unable to attend a LexPhil concert, please consider the following options:

  • Donate the value of your tickets. By converting the value of your tickets into a donation to LexPhil, you'll receive a contribution receipt for tax purposes and you will continue to support our ability to share music with the central Kentucky community. We appreciate your support by donating the value of your tickets!

  • Gift your tickets to a family member or friend.

  • Exchange your tickets for a future performance within the same season. Exchanges are valid on tickets of equal or lesser value, or you may choose to pay the difference for tickets of higher value. LexPhil donors and subscribers do not pay exchange fees.

  • Request a refund in writing. Refunds may be issued on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Box Office staff. LexPhil will retain all ticket fees from the original purchase and refund requests must be made prior to the event’s start time. Refunds will not be considered following an event

For assistance with any of the above options, please contact us by email at tickets@lexphil.org or by phone at 859.233.4226.

Ticket Fees

All single tickets purchased at Lexington Philharmonic incur a $5.00 fee per ticket. The ticket fee applies to all ticket purchases made online, over the phone, or in person. While the specifics may vary among performing arts organizations, ticket processing fees are a standard practice throughout the ticketing industry. At Lexington Philharmonic, 100% of all ticket fee revenue goes back to the organization! Ticket fees help to cover the expense of our ticketing software so that LexPhil can manage our Box Office autonomously and maintain the personal connections we’ve established with our patrons. If you have questions about our fees, please feel free to call us at the box office at 859.233.4226. Ticket fees are waived for season subscriptions as well as student and youth tickets.

Late Arrival Policy

LexPhil is committed to ensuring an enjoyable and uninterrupted experience for all patrons and performers. To minimize disruptions, please note the following late arrival policy:

  1. Delayed Entry: Patrons arriving after the performance has begun will not be permitted to enter the performance hall immediately. Entry will only be allowed at designated pauses between pieces.

  2. Staff Discretion: LexPhil staff will determine the appropriate time for late arrivals to enter, ensuring minimal disruption to the performers and other patrons.

  3. Seating: Late arrivals may be seated in a designated area to avoid disturbing the audience. Patrons may move to their ticketed seats during intermission or another appropriate break.

We encourage patrons to plan their arrival with sufficient time to find their seats before the performance begins. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in creating a respectful environment for everyone.

Event Delay or Cancellation Policy

If an event is canceled, ticket holders may choose one of the following options:

  • Donate the value of your ticket. By converting the value of your tickets into a donation to LexPhil, you'll receive a contribution receipt for tax purposes, and you will continue to support our ability to share music with the central Kentucky community. Canceled performances have a significant financial impact on our organization, and we appreciate your support by donating the value of your tickets.

  • Exchange your tickets for a future performance. Exchanges are valid on tickets of equal value. The $4.00 exchange fee will be waived if you are making an exchange due to event cancellation. Additional fees may apply if you choose to exchange for tickets of higher value than your original tickets.

  • Request a refund. Instructions for requesting a refund will be provided to ticket holders in the event that a concert is canceled.

If you are feeling ill at the time of the event for which you have tickets, please contact the Box Office at (859) 233-4226 or email tickets@lexphil.org prior to the start time of the event to exchange your tickets for a future performance. The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance.
