The Lexington Philharmonic proudly announces the appointment of Brooke Raby as Executive Director

Lexington, KY — The Lexington Philharmonic and Board of Directors are proud to announce the appointment of Brooke Raby as Executive Director. Raby officially assumes the position on July 1, 2024.

“Brooke showed us all the required skills to be the Executive Director,” said Lexington Philharmonic Board President Carol McLeod. “The most important qualities are her enthusiasm for the mission of the Lexington Philharmonic and her deep understanding of the central Kentucky community. She possesses all the tangible and intangible traits needed to lead this wonderful organization.”

Raby assumes the role of Executive Director following a ten month appointment as Interim Executive Director. Raby follows Allison Kaiser’s 13-year tenure as Executive Director of the Lexington Philharmonic. Brooke most recently worked for Kentucky Monthly magazine and the University Press of Kentucky. Raby also worked in development at the Hope Center in Lexington, and as the manager of the Kentucky Book Festival at Kentucky Humanities.

“I feel very fortunate to have found myself at LexPhil among so many passionate people. The staff, Board, and musicians are all devoted to our mission, and the energy among our supporters is very motivating,” says Raby. “It has been such an honor to serve in an interim capacity over the last year, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come for this organization.”
