Brooke Raby as Interim Executive Director

Lexington, KY — The Lexington Philharmonic Board of Directors has appointed Board Member Brooke Raby as Interim Executive Director. Raby begins the position on September 11, 2023 and her term ends June 30, 2024. The Board of Directors continues their search for a permanent Executive Director.

“I am very excited and energized by the opportunity to work alongside Brooke,” says Mélisse Brunet, Music Director.

“We have an incredible season of music ahead of us that is already receiving strong community support. Brooke knows our community well, and her passion for music and the arts in central Kentucky will be a strong asset in fulfilling our mission to bring joy and connection to our community through music.”

 
 

Raby assumes the role of Interim Executive Director following Allison Kaiser’s 13-year tenure as Executive Director of the Lexington Philharmonic. Brooke most recently worked for Kentucky Monthly magazine and the University Press of Kentucky. Raby also worked in development at the Hope Center in Lexington, and as the manager of the Kentucky Book Festival at Kentucky Humanities.

“We have every confidence that Brooke is the right individual to provide steady leadership as LexPhil continues  its search for a permanent Executive Director. The Lexington Philharmonic Board of Directors is committed to working closely with Brooke to ensure LexPhil’s success,” said Lexington Philharmonic Board President Carol McLeod.
